How do I choose between pallet covers, liners and insulated mailers?
Start with the shipment format. Pallet covers add insulation around palletized freight; box liners fit inside existing cartons; insulated bubble mailers are envelope-style packaging for compact goods. Then compare usable space, handling, required temperature and delivery conditions. None of these formats alone guarantees a temperature range or transit duration.
What are cold chain shipping supplies?
They are materials and devices used to manage or observe temperature-sensitive shipments. Insulated covers and liners slow heat transfer, refrigerant packs provide cooling capacity, and indicators or monitors give information about exposure. These functions work differently and must be selected around the shipment.
Which supplies do I need for my shipment?
Start with the product's required temperature range, shipment size, and expected transit conditions. You do not need a complete specification to inquire. Our team can discuss the categories and the information needed to narrow your options.
Are temperature indicator labels the same as data loggers?
No. An indicator signals a defined exposure condition, depending on its specification. A logger records temperatures over time. Choose based on whether you need a receiving signal, a history of the journey, or both.
Can I use any gel ice pack for shipping?
No. A therapy or promotional gel pack is not automatically suitable as a shipping refrigerant. Select a shipping-specific pack using its documented performance and the complete packaging configuration. We do not treat the existing therapy range as validated shipping refrigerants.
Will these products guarantee a temperature range for a set number of hours?
Not on their own. Performance depends on the full configuration, payload, starting temperature, ambient conditions, and transit time. Temperature-sensitive food and pharmaceutical shipments require evidence appropriate to the application; pharmaceutical configurations require your qualification and validation process.
